Welcome to the Toyota Prius
The upcoming plug-in model Toyota Prius averages 65 mpg in real-world testing. That is 15 mpg more than the 2010 Prius, which is the world leader in fuel efficiency.
The improved performance is a result of the new lithium ion battery, which can store more power than the nickel-metal hydride batteries incorporated in traditional Prius models. The testing is ongoing but the new plug-in Toyota Prius will be available soon.
